Allelic variants of a potato HEAT SHOCK COGNATE 70 gene confer improved tuber yield under a wide range of environmental conditions

Field trials conducted in multiple locations indicate that specific alleles of HSc70 are associated with higher yields. These data suggest that HSc70 allelic variation could be developed as a marker for breeding stress tolerant genotypes.
